Bona AmberSeal

Bona AmberSeal water based hardwood floor sealer has a warm, rich, oil-modified undertone, but will not get yellower or darker with age. Contains an amber pigment.

Bona AmberSeal is a non-yellowing, poly-tone waterborne sanding sealer that provides an oil-based look to hardwood floors.  Bona AmberSeal can be used with all Bona waterborne finishes over both stained and unstained floors.

Coverage and Application

• Coverage is approximately 400-500 square feet per gallon.
• Bona AmberSeal replicates the "honey tone" look of traditional oil based finishes to hardwood flooring. 
• When you are beginning the finish process on a newly sanded wood floor, apply one (or even two coats) to get the "honey color" golden tones of oil based finishes.
• Amberseal waterborne sanding sealer is specially formulated for use with Bona Traffic Naturale, Bona Traffic HD, Bona Mega finishes (unless you are staining the floor - see Bona Amberseal's product instructions).

Odor and Stability

• Very slight non-offensive odor.
• One year shelf-life in an unopened container.
• Non-flammable: Bona AmberSeal should be stored in a climate controlled environment.

Necessary Tools and Materials

• Bona Floor Coater
• Bona Roller
• Bona Cut-In Pad
• Note: Use a clean applicator for sealer and a separate clean applicator for finish.

Drying Process

• Fast drying - approximately 2-3 hours (high humidity and/or low temperature conditions will extend the drying time).
• Full cure (meaning scuff, scratch and chemical resistant) in one week.
• Do not allow foot traffic until the floor is sufficiently dried and cured.

Cleanup 

• Application tools should be thoroughly cleaned with water and stored in an airtight container.  
• Dispose of any remaining product in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
