Timbermate Wood Filler is a unique, quick drying, water based grain filler and wood putty.  This product accepts stain beautifully or can be tinted. Timbermate never goes bad and is easy to apply and clean up.  This product will not shrink, crack or fall out. Product only becomes permanent once finish is applied. TIMBERMATE is non-flammable, non-toxic and non-yellowing. Manufacturer recommends using only stainless steel or plastic tools to apply because Timbermate may react with low-grade steels and turn black.

Timbermate can be stained with all types of colorants, e.g. waterbased, oilbased and spirit stains and oxides.

Timbermate can be sealed with all known types of top coats e.g. waterbased Tung oil, single pack and two pack Polyurethane varnishes.

SANDING SEALER: Add approximately 10% - 15% water and mix until desired consistency is achieved.

FILLING LARGER HOLES: Fill in layers approximately 6mm at a time and allow to dry between each application.

COLOURING: Timbermate can be coloured by mixing prior to application or when dried, with all colorants.

STAINING FLOORS: To achieve the best match choose a colour to match floor, sand and stain floor when putty is dry.

DRYING: Timbermate dries in about 30 minutes depending on temperature and depth of fill. TIMBERMATE'S drying time can be reduced by placing heaters and fans in the room.

SANDING: Timbermate is ready to sand when fading of colour occurs

MIXING: In colder climates Timbermate hardens in the tub, to soften simply place in the sun or stand in a tub of hot water. When thinning hot water provides the best results.

CLEANING: Clean tools with water.

PREPARING OLD FLOORS: Scrape all dust and waste between boards and surface as well as from knot holes and nail heads, vacuum well and carry out first sanding to prepare for filling and coating. Ensure that floor is stabilised, dry and free of movement.

Floor can now be stained or varnished.

APPLICATION NEW FLOORS AND PREPARED OLD FLOORS: Fill cracks, knot and nail holes and all blemished with a putty knife. Fill deeper holes in layers of about 6mm allowing each fill to dry. Apply TIMBERMATE to entire floor, as a sealant, using a squeegee, trowel or paint roller. Allow to dry and sand off with a fine paper - 120 to 150 grit is recommended for best results. Floor can now be stained or varnished.

For variable consistency: May be thickened by leaving tub open or thinned by merely adding water to required consistency. Indefinite shelf and pot life,therefore.... no waste
  • Four in One Product- Grain, trowel and crack filler, sanding sealer
  • Unlimited Shelf Life - No Waste, Usable to the last drop. If tub dries out just add water to soften.
  • Durability - Won't Shrink, Sink, Crack or Fall Out.

Indefinite shelf and pot life,therefore.... no waste

Indefinite shelf and pot life,therefore.... no waste
